We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the recent electricity supply interruptions in our area over the weekend 27 October - 29 October.
On both Friday and Saturday evenings, the Eskom 88kV line experienced technical issues which resulted in the line tripping, which caused power outages affecting the residents of Villiers and Frankfort.
In addition to these supply interruptions, interruptions were also caused by lighting-related incidents on the RFS high voltage network:
On Friday evening, there was a power disruption in Mamelo and Cornelia.
On Monday morning, a similar issue occurred in Qalabotjha.
On Sunday, loadshedding was also yet again re-introduced.
We understand how frustrating these outages and loadshedding can be, and although the conditions were out of our control, we want you to know that our dedicated teams worked throughout the weekend to restore power as quickly as possible.
